Information we collect

Tool inputs. Answers you type into a calculator or checker (for example age, education, language scores, or program choices) are used to show you a result in that session. We do not ask you to create an account to use these tools.

Documents in IRCC Ready Docs. Files you open in IRCC Ready Docs stay on your device unless that tool's own page says otherwise. We do not store those files in a GetNorthPath account.

Walkthrough and waitlist forms. When you submit the contact form, we collect first name, last name, email, phone (required for the waitlist), the tool you want help with, an optional message, and the page you came from.

Careers form. If you apply from the careers page, we collect the details you enter so we can reply about that inquiry.

Site use. Our hosting and analytics tools may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location. See the Cookie Policy.

How we use information

• Return a result in a free tool you chose to use
• Reply to a walkthrough request or waitlist signup
• Reply to a careers inquiry
• Keep the site working and understand which tools people use
• Meet legal duties if we are required to

We do not sell personal information. We do not use these forms to book paid consultations or to share your file with a licensed immigration professional as a service.

Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to run the site: hosting, email or messaging so we can reply to you, analytics, and lead storage when that intake is configured. We may also share information if the law requires it.

Related free tools on oinp.getnorthpath.com and docs.getnorthpath.com are operated by GetNorthPath. They follow this notice unless their own page says something more specific.

How long we keep information

Walkthrough, waitlist, and careers submissions are kept long enough to reply and to see who already asked. We then delete or anonymize them when they are no longer needed, unless the law requires a longer period. Browser-only tool inputs are not stored as an account profile.

Your choices

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other laws that apply, you can ask to see, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Write to [email protected]. We aim to reply within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.

Security

We send form data over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure. If you think something went wrong with information you sent us, email [email protected].

Children

The free tools and forms are meant for adults who are planning their own immigration path, or helping a family member. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
