Overview

What Express Entry means for Sudanese applicants

Express Entry is the online system IRCC uses to manage three federal economic programs Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades (FST), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). For Sudanese applicants, FSW is generally the relevant entry point. Creating a profile and being ranked doesn't require any in-person step at all it's the later stages, after an ITA, where current embassy logistics matter.

What the Khartoum suspension actually changes

Creating a profile, being ranked, and receiving an ITA all happen online and are unaffected by embassy status. What does need planning: biometrics, which must be completed at an operating VAC often in a third country given the current situation. We work through this specifically with each applicant based on their current location.
