I paid $3,250 USD for 'Complete Handling' from a YouTube-famous immigration firm. I was still receiving feedback on my documents in the final two weeks before the 60-day ITA deadline. Critical items were missed. The stress was completely avoidable. I built GetNorthPath so no immigrant ever goes through that again.

Price Comparison
Published pricing vs. custom quotes.
Boutique consultancies typically scope work after a consultation, which makes it harder to compare apples-to-apples before you sign. GetNorthPath publishes free for the full DIY tools and features workflow, including portal access, IRCC autofill, Chrome extension, and proactive email reminders.

Feature Deep Dive
What you actually get from each service.
Beyond the feature checklist - here's what the experience actually looks like with each platform.
GetNorthPath
AI-powered platform · free
You upload documents once to a secure portal. AI scans every file in under 10
seconds - checking expiry dates, cross-validating names and dates, verifying DLI numbers, checking fund
balances over time.
Issues flagged the moment you upload - on day one of your 60-day ITA window, not
week eight. You get a email notification and email with plain-language instructions on what to fix.
Every required IRCC form auto-filled using your verified data. IMM 1294, 5257,
5645, 5476 and more - current versions, no manual entry, no errors.
Free tools help you review your complete file before
submission. You can book a direct call with them any time via Calendly.
Chrome Extension loads your entire approved application into the IRCC portal in one
click. No re-typing. No copy-paste. You click submit.
Live dashboard shows exactly where your application stands every day. No chasing
emails. No wondering.
Zeste
Consultancy model · custom quotes
Strong Instagram and video education helps applicants understand programs at a high
level useful context before you retain anyone.
Documents submitted via email. No dedicated workspace. No secure vault.
Sensitive files (passport, bank statements) exchanged over email chains.
No AI document scanning. Documents reviewed manually by a consultant - with no
guaranteed timeline. Review may arrive days before your ITA deadline.
IRCC forms filled manually. No automation. Each form field entered by hand -
increasing the risk of typos and inconsistencies between the form and supporting documents.
No client dashboard. Application status only available by contacting the firm
directly. No real-time visibility into what's been reviewed or what's pending.
Retainer structures differ by consultant some bundle submission, others bill
hourly so read contracts carefully before your ITA clock starts.
The 60-Day ITA Window
What those 60 days looked like with a traditional firm - and what they should look like.
After receiving an Invitation to Apply, you have exactly 60 days to submit a complete PR application. Here's how the two approaches compare across those 60 days.
Day 1
ITA received
Traditional firm - File is opened. Consultant sends an email.
You notify the consultant that your ITA has arrived. They acknowledge and ask you to
start gathering documents. No AI. No checklist. No validated profile ready to go. The clock starts - and
manual review hasn't begun.

Day 1
GetNorthPath
GetNorthPath - Onboarded same day. AI starts scanning immediately.
You upload documents to your secure portal. AI begins scanning within seconds. Any
issues - expiry dates, name mismatches, fund balances, DLI numbers - flagged instantly. You know exactly
what needs fixing before day two.

Day 14
Two weeks in
Traditional firm - Documents submitted. Waiting for review.
You've emailed your documents. The consultant has them but hasn't reviewed yet -
they're managing multiple files. No update unless you chase. No visibility. The 60-day clock is now two
weeks gone.

Day 14
GetNorthPath
GetNorthPath - All issues resolved. Forms auto-filled. ready for you to submit.
All documents verified and corrected. IRCC forms auto-filled by AI. Your checklist is
now ready for you to submit - not starting document collection. You have 46 days left and your
application is essentially ready.

Day 45
15 days left
Traditional firm - First real feedback arrives. Critical issues flagged.
Free DIY checks scan your documents and sends feedback. There are issues - an
employment letter date mismatch, a bank statement that doesn't show consistent funds. You have 15 days to
fix them, gather new documents, and resubmit everything. The panic is real.

Day 45
GetNorthPath
GetNorthPath: checklist complete. Chrome Extension loaded. Ready to

Your checklist is complete. Your Chrome Extension is
preloaded. You're waiting for the perfect moment to submit - or you submit today with 15 days to spare.

How the tools compare
What people say after switching to GetNorthPath.
"We contacted a boutique firm that still relied on email threads. Switching to GetNorthPath meant instant AI flags on my bank statements and a dashboard I could check at 11pm."
Switched to GetNorthPath"My friend paid $2,800 USD to a YouTube immigration firm and was still uploading documents in the final week. I used GetNorthPath for free and had everything verified and ready in two weeks. It's not even close."
Chose GetNorthPath after research"The Chrome Extension alone justified the free. I used to spend an entire afternoon copying my data into the IRCC portal. GetNorthPath loaded everything in 30 seconds. The AI also caught that my bank statement was three months old - which I had missed."
Switched from traditional firmFrequently Asked Questions
Questions about choosing between GetNorthPath and Zeste.
Treat any creator-led practice like any other regulated provider: confirm who holds the
immigration consultant
or bar license, read the engagement letter, and ask how documents and deadlines are tracked. Large
followings
prove reach not necessarily turnaround time inside a 60-day ITA window.
Request an itemized scope: document review hours, form preparation, submission support,
communication SLAs, and revision rounds. Match that list to GetNorthPath's published package so you are
comparing the same workload not just headline prices.
Traditional immigration firms charge high prices because consultant time is expensive - and
most of that time is spent on tasks that don't require human expertise: scanning documents, filling forms,
chasing clients for missing items, and manually transferring data into IRCC portals. GetNorthPath automates
all of this with AI. You spend your time on strategy,
reviewing flagged issues, advising on edge cases, and helping you check the file yourself. This dramatically reduces the time
each consultant spends per file - which reduces cost without reducing quality.
GetNorthPath provides free DIY tools and platform features. We do not offer a complete immigration service or paid representation. You prepare and submit your own application to IRCC. Our tools help with checks, scores, docs, and autofill so you can work faster. Compared with paid firm packages, our free tools are 100% cheaper.
If you've started an application with another firm and are unhappy with the pace or quality
of service, join the waitlist with us. We can assess where your application stands, review your
documents, and advise on whether switching makes sense at your stage. If you have an ITA and are inside the
60-day window, contact us immediately - we onboard same-day and can get your documents validated and forms
filled within days.
Yes. India is one of our largest source countries, and we have specific handling for Indian
application nuances - including WES ECA evaluation timing, IELTS score validation, high-demand occupation
streams in Express Entry, and province-specific PNP streams that are particularly open to Indian applicants.
We also understand the specific IRCC processing quirks for Indian-passport applicants and build extra lead
time into document validation accordingly.
